Compassionate Pug Rescue

Meadow- I am 9 year old love bug that is looking for a special home with a family that can give me a little extra TLC. See I am blind and I am diabetic. Luckily for me, however, my diabetes can be easily managed with a strict feeding schedule and insulin shots - which I am proud to say I take like a champ!

While I can’t see, once I get the lay of the land, I get around quite easily. I love to go outdoors and use my other senses to explore. Not being able to see does not make me timid at all. I love to play and I challenge you to a game of tug of war, my friend. It’s my game of choice!

I am most definitely a people person and I get along very well with children, however, I prefer a home on the quiet side. I love to cuddle and gentle touches speak volumes to me.

I am your typical pug, except that I need to keep a strict eating and insulin schedule to keep my diabetes in check. I was recently one of the 3 chosen pugs at the Kissing Booth at CPR’s WinterBark, really I am that loveable. If you have room in your family for a girl like me, please let the good folks at CPR know by submitting an adoption application.

Compassionate Pug Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit, volunteer run pug rescue organization based in South Florida. CPR accepts all pugs regardless of their condition, nurses them back to health and finds them a loving forever home.

The pugs brought into CPR’s care have a variety of backgrounds. Some pugs are surrendered by their owners due to difficult family situations. Others have been severely neglected or make their way to CPR via Animal Control. Regardless of the past, all the dogs that are taken under CPR’s wing have one thing in common - a bright future.

When CPR receives a new pug, he or she is immediately given a health screening. Any medical conditions discovered are quickly treated. Then each pug is carefully matched with a family that has filled out an extensive adoption application. Volunteers make sure that the lifestyle of each family fits the personality of the pug. After a suitable match is found, the pug is on its way to its new forever home and off to live the pampered life that every pug deserves.

WinterBark was held at Canine Cove Dog Park in Boca Raton this past weekend. A really fun event that was sponsored by Compassionate Pug Rescue but all inclusive to local rescues.
A wonderful time was had by all.
